Preliminary Task

Preliminary task is a 30 - 40 second recording in which a radio presenter introduces a guest, and the guest responds. There is also an archive insert. This demonstrates our understanding of sound editing. As the guest is a gold medalist, the sound archive that will be inserted will be of the crowd cheering so it can relate back to the runners experience and allow the listeners to understand exactly why he is here today. This task will boost my understanding of how sound editing works and how to analyse important parts making it more pragmatic.

Sade has a strong female voice which was essential to our show.

Olamide is the publisher/editor as the group thought he was capable of doing this specific job.

I chose myself to be the sound manager as i knew where to find the right music for the jingle in our show. I manipulated the sound of the music by using audacity.

Randy is the guest/editor as he has a strong, mature voice which made our show seem more realistic.

This is the first script me and my group came up with. We kept it simple as we had to make sure that it didn't go beyond the 45 second mark. We used words such as 'wassup' so that listeners will feel more engaged and welcomed to the show.

Simple flow diagram to show how the radio interview was constructed. This helped the radio interview as we were aware of what was expected in the audio recording and we knew where to edit the audio recording.
